     About Mr. Bukhari

There is no greater testimony to
The Power of Self Motivation, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation than Mr. Bukhari ( known to all as Mr. B ).

When he started down this road some 21 years ago, he was not a famous person, he had no money, he was not only a cripple in a wheelchair, but also on a life support respirator hooked into a tracheotomy
in the center of his neck. He had been certified by local provincial authorities as totally unemployable, for life, and basically written off by society. But  that wasn't all of the negative things he faced.

He was given the choice of living in intensive care, in long term care or at home restricted to his bed while hooked up to the breathing machine.

Mr. B. chose to go home.

That choice was made to get away from the negative influences as no one believed him when he said that he was moving ahead with his life despite the severe setbacks.

The fact is that Mr. B. was bargaining with life for the thing he wanted from it. He personally negotiated the deal and moved ahead to achieve it and was clear about what he was willing to give back in return.

Mr. B. is a living example that anyone can negotiate anything as long as one takes the time to acquire the skills to do it, knows why one wants to win and what sacrifices must be made. Miracles do happen in one's life but you have to challenge life just to make your dreams come true, and then you must live and breathe that dream to become the winner you are. Life is not easy and even though you may know where you are heading, you must hurdle every roadblock that gets in your path along the way. The true test is never to quit but to get stronger with each hurdle and amend your strategy as required until you reach your goals.

The following comments made by a person who met Mr. B. summarize his unusual story:

Mr. B. requires a life support respirator 24 hours a day as he cannot breathe as you and I do. 99.9% of people like him are either in intensive or long term care, or are languishing at home as total invalids. Not so, Mr. B. He has motivated himself to get past all these problems and returned to his full time position as a lawyer, going to graduate law school to do his Masters and then devoting the remaining time he has during each day to charity. (Not bad for a disabled, 125 lb., five foot giant!)

You may shake your head in wonder, but there is more, much more I have to tell you.

Nobody can tell you how he does what I have outlined to you here, not even Mr. B. himself. This is what I believe happens.

Mr. B. mentally motivates himself for the task he is about to do, especially speaking engagements, or negotiations. It is amazing to see him confront you with the respirator connected to his trachea by a long white tube then, unhesitantly smile as he lowers his head and begin to speak. The commanding strength and presence of his voice is mesmerizing. His rhetoric finished, he nonchalantly takes a deep breath and smiles at you. It is absolutely amazing how he can do this.

As I stated, it is not clear where Mr. B. gets his inner strength to accomplish the impossible. He is strongly motivated to make a difference in people's lives and to give freely to charity. Perhaps it is the act of "giving" of himself that creates the miracle. He tells me that this is the spirit, the spirit of giving, that he wishes to spread by his personal example.
